Numerous Successful SCP Inhaled Formulations Highlighted at 2021 ISAM Conference
BOISE, ID, May 27, 2021 – CritiTech recently took the opportunity to highlight how our Supercritical Precipitation (SCP) platform has unique abilities to design drug particles for successful inhaled formulations. Dr. Michael Baltezor presented a poster at the 23rd International Congress for International Society for Aerosols in Medicine (ISAM) in Boise, Idaho. The May 22-26, 2021 meeting was attended by over 400 health care professionals, aerosol scientists and engineers, formulations scientists, and product development and regulatory experts.

Dr. Baltezor’s poster, downloadable to the right, provides a variety of data that shows inhaled drugs engineered with SCP enable delivery to the lungs at hundreds of times the concentration of IV or oral drugs and can remain in the lungs for extended durations. Because of this targeted delivery, systemic exposure can be substantially reduced. Finally, the drug efficacy is greatly enhanced because with SCP, there are no excipients or coatings necessary – it is pure drug.
