Sam Campbell is CritiTech’s Chairman, providing guidance to the management team. He assists with long-term strategic development and helps with special projects. Sam has over 30 years of experience with executive leadership and investment management with early-stage life science companies.
Prior to joining CritiTech in 2003, Sam held roles as the President of Campbell-Becker, and early stage investor for several life science companies, as well as Developer of the Lawrence Life Sciences Center, part of the largest university-based incubator in the midwest. He currently serves on the Boards of NanOlogy, LLC, an oncology drug development company, and the University National Bank.
Sam holds an M.B.A. and a B.A. in Business & History from the University of Kansas. He is a lifelong cattle and horse rancher, enjoys working with livestock and spending time with family.
Matthew McClorey is President of CritiTech. He leads the company’s strategy, overall direction and execution. He manages key partnerships, leads capital formation operations and guides the leadership team to drive financial and operational performance. He also serves on the CritiTech Board.
Before joining CritiTech in 2012, Matthew spent over 10 years in a variety of executive leadership, investment management and operations roles with early stage life science companies. As President of the Lawrence Regional Technology Center and Bioscience and Technology Business Center, he led their growth into one of the largest and most successful business incubators in the Midwest. During his tenure, incubator clients raised over $190M. Life sciences clients included Deciphera Pharmaceuticals, Proteon Therapeutics, Innara Health, CritiTech and Validic. Previously, Matthew was a Senior Consultant with Deloitte Consulting, working with several Fortune 100 companies. He currently serves on the Boards of NanOlogy, LLC, an oncology drug development company, Truity Credit Union and Benedictine College.
Matthew earned his M.B.A. and Juris Doctorate at the University Kansas, and holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Benedictine College. He loves traveling and playing sports with his family, coaching basketball, running, mountain-biking, bass-fishing, and is a die-hard KU, Kansas City and Detroit sports fan.
Jody Schrandt serves as Chief Operating Officer of CritiTech. He leads business operations activities including Sales & Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Human Resources and Information Technology. He supports the President in developing strategy and translating to tactical execution.
Prior to joining CritiTech in 2020, Jody served in a variety of executive and operational leadership roles across Customer Experience, Strategy, Sales & Marketing and Technology/Change Management with H&R Block, Bright House Networks, Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Jody has an M.B.A. and a B.G.S. in Political Science from the University of Kansas. He is an avid KU, KC, Tampa and DC sports fan, music lover, trivia aficionado, aspiring musician and artist, novice wood-worker and mostly a very proud #Girldad.
