Technical Operations Management

John Reynolds is CritiTech’s Director of Quality Operations. In this role, John leads all Quality Assurance operations and oversight, including cGMP compliance, quality systems, tracking, controls and internal audit.

Before joining CritiTech in 2017, John spent over 30 years in quality operations leadership roles with Colgate-Palmolive, Marion Merrell Dow and Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceuticals. His experience spans raw material testing, method transfers and development, validation, packaging, a variety of audits including FDA, supplier, client and DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ audits, analytical services and stability testing. 

John holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Kansas. He is a big sports fan, loves music and travel and is an avid trout fisherman.

Jake Sittenauer is Manager of Drug Development Services for CritiTech. As a key interface for many of our clients, Jake leads client drug development projects from POC through clinical trial manufacturing. He also is instrumental in designing and deploying our ever expanding array of technology and equipment.

Jake has spent almost ten years with CritiTech. He has developed a keen expertise in particle engineering and product development, and leads our Spray Drying capabilities. He also supports drug development and technology deployment with Purcision™. 

Jake earned his M.B.A. and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Rockhurst University. He is an avid sports fan, aspiring golfer and bourbon enthusiast.

 

Jahna Espinosa is Director of Laboratory Operations for CritiTech. She leads all lab operations including Purcision™ drug particle processing and management of Purcision production activities. Additionally, she collaborates on development and maintenance activities for key drug development technologies. She has deep expertise in Purcision from POC to cGMP, and also supports Spray Drying projects. 

Prior to joining CritiTech in 2005, Jahna had 15 years of experience in lab operations and chemical analysis with the Higuchi Biosciences Center at the University of Kansas, Pace Analytical, Osborn Laboratories and American Environmental Network. 

Jahna earned a B.S. in Biology from Emporia State University. She loves cooking, bicycling, gardening, reading post-apocalyptic fiction and science!

Joe Farthing is CritiTech’s Manager of Analytical Services. He manages and oversees all analytical laboratory operations and services in support of our client’s drug formulation, development and manufacturing projects.  

Joe has been with CritiTech for over 7 years. He has extensive experience with a wide variety of analytical methods including HPLC, GC, IR and XRPD. He supports GMP analytical services and projects including release and stability testing as well as conducting analytical method validation activities.

Joe holds an M.A. in Chemistry from Washington University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Northwest Missouri State University. He loves parenting twin boys with his wife Sarah, is an avid beer and wood-working enthusiast, USA Swimming official and board member of Missouri Valley Swimming.

Richard Ramos is CritiTech’s Director of Support Services. He leads all facility operations including logistics, safety and security, facility maintenance, contractor management, construction/expansion and coordination of metrology, validation and maintenance activities. 

Before joining CritiTech in 2006, Richard had 25+ years experience with facility and quality operations support, including working with Quintiles, Oread, Inc. and the University of Kansas Animal Health & Technical Services. He has extensive experience with operations and support of cGMP facilities, including consulting for FDA cGMP/GLP compliance, instrumentation and specimen management. 

Richard studied Farm Management/Animal Health at Kansas State University. He cherishes his family and faith, wine and dining with his wife, dancing with his granddaughters, country music, sports, fishing and hunting, and fancy bourbon/whisky with a mild cigar.
